Feb 14, 2012 - How come nobody considers the 5% variation could possibly be due to the pacing off between Alexandria and Syene needed to account for the walker going up and down variations in the earth surface. Maybe it also was due to the walker making slight corrections to the direction of travel (kind of like a sail boat tacking).
