Dec 28, 2011 - Steve Martin worked with them, writing TV. I listened to their LPs growing up in the '60s. One of the best nights of my life was about 5 years ago, when I saw these two live in Las Vegas. I got to personally meet them both, after the show (for some reason I was hanging out, talking to the sound man); and they are terrific! It was me, my mom, her husband, and my sister. Anyway, we spoke with them for about 10 minutes and I'll never forget that! Wonderfully nice men.

Jan 17, 2012 - From the sounds of the comments here it looks like i wasn't the only kid who played this album into the ground....... goodness that was an awesome decade!!!!! These guys were funnier than almost anyone except Jon Stewart these days. Sigh..... the memories!!

Jan 17, 2012 - You definitely aren't the only kid who has; I'm 18 and I enjoy and respect these guys! They're true pioneers of comedy with an agenda. Speaking of which, I do love Colbert and Stewart as well.

Mar 27, 2012 - I had to finish my homework before I could watch the Smothers Brothers. I distinctly remember this bit - i laughed myself off the sofa!

Apr 1, 2012 - I had almost all of their records. They were not only funny, but I really enjoyed their music. Dickie especially had a great voice. One of the albums I had was "The Two Sides of The Smothers Brothers" -- which had one side that focused on pure, straight music. I played that more than the comedy side. Tommy was also good -- when he wanted to be. "Boil that Cabbage Down Boys"

May 20, 2012 - My parents had 2 of their live albums that we used to listen to ALL the time. Know this song backwards and forwards. Thanks for the post. WHOP WHOP WHOP WHOP!!!!

May 27, 2012 - You were not born in the wrong decade, you get to hear all of the these recordings as if they were brand new. Also, you don't have to do that waiting for that next new album to come out. The first album I owned was "Mom Always Liked You Best". I thought their next album was never going to be made. But when it did, I was thrilled to death.
