Feb 8, 2008 - Science rules. I don't understand why there are so few people watching this.

AkiraBergman Says:

Feb 8, 2008 - Because the mainstream population like easy and fashionable things. It is always the same in any area of culture. I think our culture does not like too many thinking people and programs the majority to follow the leaders. Like ants.

DarkestDragonNL Says:

Feb 8, 2008 - I think you are mostly right there.

DamienZshadow Says:

Feb 8, 2008 - that could seriously be lead to a controversial but interesting psychological/sociological. Nice comparison. I like to think myself as someone not held down by the system or limited by what is considered the norm.

DamienZshadow Says:

Feb 8, 2008 - this was a good week for New Scientist but they seriously need to get better announcers lol the girl who usually does it has a monotone problem when she tells the jokes that don't appear to be written by her. This dude just talks really fast but still made me lol

rudyjoly Says:

Feb 8, 2008 - you are a very good observer, well i'm gonna tell you the reason most of us dumb americans don't give ahit about science which affects our lives tremendously. On the contrary, we only care about bitches stars like Britney Spears,no wonder Swiss and Japanese and others are starting to be more intllectual than we are

pinkyabuse Says:

Feb 9, 2008 - I wonder if the knee generators would cause injuries after long term use.

daniel246 Says:

Feb 9, 2008 - New Scientist how do u get a good picture on youtube

TECHKLEC Says:

Feb 9, 2008 - Fortunatly, there are a few good scientific and technical channels on YouTube, and, of course, this is one of them. When comapred against the number of channels continuously posting pure crap, one gets a comparable and unfortunate cross section of our society.

ZITZON Says:

Feb 9, 2008 - Most footage probably privided by the reasearchers themselves.

edgarhons Says:

Feb 10, 2008 - Yeah it's a good thing none of us smart people would ever forgo discussing interesting science and instead make generalized remarks about mainstream society :\Would there be a way to harness resistance against wind blowing at someone, enabling someone in Chicago to heat their jacket as they walked to work?

gothmusicsukz Says:

Feb 10, 2008 - lol only 8 cell phones were in the picture cool sum up though =)

oneill40 Says:

Feb 11, 2008 - Hi Damien, I can't reply on behalf of anyone else involved in our vodcast, but I must agree I was a total motormouth on this episode. I think next time I'll go easy on the coffee before I present. It's a learning process. Thanks for watching. Sean O'Neill.

DamienZshadow Says:

tjmac7 Says:

Feb 12, 2008 - What you need is another war in europe so you can steal all the best scientists lol

tjmac7 Says:

Feb 12, 2008 - lol..didnt expect a reply!? Mut be cool to report for new scientist!

NymphoAngel22 Says:

Feb 12, 2008 - how cute was sean thats all i looked at lol

DamienZshadow Says:

Feb 12, 2008 - I'm American but I've been over sees and seen the potential of students in training in other developing nations. With America being a "world super power" other countries are stressed to compete and push their kids even harder and train them even better than we do. Not surprising to see most of our jobs being lost to foreigners who do it twice as well for much less. Instead of getting angry at how our foreign policies are handled, I believe America should just start upping the bar.

Quisyfrottesypique Says:

Feb 13, 2008 - I rather enjoy it. If you think fast, you can talk fast and if you think fast you can understand fast too. right?

catwotsits73 Says:
