Description:
My personal favorite Pink Floyd album.1. One of These Days - 0:002. A Pillow of Winds - 5:573. Fearless - 11:094. San Tropez - 17:175. Seamus - 21:006. Echoes - 23:16Meddle is the sixth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd. It was released in October 1971.The album was recorded at a series of locations around London, including Abbey Road Studios. With no material to work with and no clear idea of the album's direction, the band devised a series of novel experiments which eventually inspired the album's signature track, "Echoes". Although many of the group's later albums would be unified by a central theme with lyrics written mainly by Roger Waters, Meddle was a group effort with lyrical contributions from each member.Meddle was produced between the band's touring commitments, from January to August 1971. It was well-received by music critics upon its release, but despite being commercially successful in the United Kingdom, lackluster publicity on the part of their US label led to poor sales there.

May 28, 2012 - Fearless is one of my favories. Positive, motivating, and a cheer at the end that evokes R&H. What's not to love?

May 29, 2012 - The only similarity between Rush and Pink Floyd is that they were called progressive rock bands although they barely were.COMPLETELY different music

May 29, 2012 - Now listen, i am a huge floyd fan. I disagree with you, but will give you a fair chance, because i DO see were your coming from. Actually yes, there formula early on, was taking basic blues rhythms, and fusing them with different experimental 60`s effects. I start to disagree with you. later on in there career however. Floyd did transition into a different, very musically structured group later on, ( starting with this album) So yes, you are actually correct on some things.

May 29, 2012 - hm, first time im listening to original studio version (echoes), it sounds so empty. I used to listen to that Pompeii version, pompeii version 200000000 times better, it destroys the studio version...

May 30, 2012 - Huh? Why do you feel Roger Water's only wrote bleak, depressing shit about insanity? Maybe The Wall and the album after.

May 30, 2012 - Anyone who knows me, I love Pink Floyd, and idolize David Gilmour. But Seamus kills me. I will kill that dog, and skip the song every time.

May 30, 2012 - They're really not that different. I've been to rush and pink floyd concerts. They're extremely alike. Not to mention inscrutablewut stated, "Name one band doin what pink floyd did at the time........." Not, "What band is alike to the music + what the did at the time." Okay..?
