Dec 3, 2011 - I can tell the good general is starting to choke and fall back on powerpoint notes. when i was there 3 yrs ago with 82nd airborne recon, we tried to train up two teams of mortarman....im not going to lie- their commanders were ruthless and the young hazara soldiers were very racists towards the pashtun populace in our region. all in all undisciplined and unconcerned with afghanistan that the u.s wants to build. we should have heeded the advice of Ahmad Shah Massoud. now we must admit failure.

The NDS holds all of the power in Afghanistan, not the army or police. They terrorize innocent villagers. While I was in Afghanistan, people feared them more than any other group.
