Sep 14, 2011 - "When I was young, I'd listen to the radio..." listening for Karen's voice.  I don't listen to their music so often anymore. But her voice still makes my heart sing along. R.I.P sweet lady.

Feb 25, 2012 - I was a different kind of music fan! Some of my first singles were Carpenters records in the early 70's. But I was also a Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger, Journey, and even early Black Sabbath., lol. Yet I still loved the Carpenters, and some others too like Carole King, Bread, Carly Simon, and so on. ALL my friends would just shake their head when I would talk about or play The Carpenters. I just loved great music (all styles) and Karen had one of the best voices!
