Apr 20, 2012 - There is a whole series of these, even if you're not specifically interested in the album but are interested in the process they're great, there's ones for Nirvana Nevermind, Metallica Black Album, Elvis 1956, Joshua Tree, etc... they generally interview band members, the engineers, they'll show how things were mixed etc. Very informative

May 9, 2012 - what is this from? what documentary?
FernandOrtizdeUrbina Says:
May 20, 2012 - It's from a documentary on The Band's namesake second album, part of a series called "Classic Albums", co-produced by the BBC, NCRV, VH-1 and Eagle Rock Entertainment. It's available on DVD.

May 21, 2012 - It's also on YouTube. watch?v=nV6952QFuh0

May 24, 2012 - People really hate Robbie Robertson, but he seems to have nothing but praise for the other members in this video. Though I think Garth makes this song incredible.

May 24, 2012 - It's really good. My boss loaned me his copy a couple days before Levon Helm died since we were talking about The Band. I have my own copy now.
W2n1dowsx Says:
May 25, 2012 - Robbie is getting blamed because (mostly) he got sole songwriting credit but the songs are his. His vision is apparent throughout the bands work. He wrote the songs but the arrangement were the Bands'...he got the money and was vilified for it. He was a bit egotistical around the Last Waltz but who wouldn't be. It is a shame that group squabbles became known. The music is unique and brilliant.
RobPic914 Says:
May 26, 2012 - I know all about the feud, but I mean, when a person writes the bulk of a song (or many), I think it's only fair that they deserve more credit. But I was actually refering to people simply calling him arrogant or cocky because of the things he says, as I've seen on many comments for clips of the Last Waltz, he seems like a fairly decent guy, cockyness aside. But with such great music, who cares about feuds?
W2n1dowsx Says:
May 26, 2012 - I'm with you.
mitchdfla Says:
May 30, 2012 - Levon, still missing you terribly...rest in peace, sir.
