Oct 6, 2010 - WOW. Speechless. That was incredible! That's probably the highest triple axel I've ever seen, he really flies.
VGeller35 Says:
Oct 23, 2010 - They don't look at the take off of axels in the new system so he's good!
EightballRus Says:
Oct 27, 2010 - Well said by Floskate. The new system is anything but perfect.

Dec 14, 2010 - This guy could out jump kobe any day of week.

Jan 8, 2011 - I never would have believed that a man could have landed a triple axel in 1957. The first time it was landed at a World Championships was in 1978. Jenkins could have been the first had he attempted that jump when he was competing. Amazing.
oldaardvark Says:
Feb 13, 2011 - Holy Cow! That really WAS a triple axel!I read once that Ronnie Robertson used to practice quad jumps. Perhaps after he turned pro.
filipinoICEsk8ter Says:
Feb 19, 2011 - You do know that you have to skid on a triple axel right? Less than a handful of people could do it without the skid. You need to skid. He did executed the jump correctly.
iceroby72 Says:
Feb 20, 2011 - I know that. Two recent examples were lambiel and Sandu, in fact their axels were not at all consistent. Anyway, from my point of view Jenkins's triple axel was severely prerotated.... Are you Hunting my posts little wanker?
filipinoICEsk8ter Says:
Feb 20, 2011 - For one thing I'm out practicing triple axel and looking for examples. Calling me a wanker isn't going to stop me from being a better skater. You called me arrogant, look at you BS ing on skaters that are great. There are more examples besides Lambiel and Sandu. Plushenko, Yagudin, Lysacek, Mao Asada, Midori Ido, and Tonya harding skids into their triple axel just like David Jenkins. BTW pre rotation is common to all triples.Just like toe salchow, loop, axel, flip, and lutz.
filipinoICEsk8ter Says:
Feb 20, 2011 - You call me an arrogant wanker, look at yourself. If you are a judge, you'd show respect and appreciation for skaters. With your attitude, it shows that you are not even a real judge. You leaving bad disrespectful comments to other skaters shows you have no respect for the skaters or this sport. If it weren't for the Jenkins, we wouldn't have triple axels.

Feb 20, 2011 - For somebody who doesn't care about my opinion you get too excited. If you think I'm an arrogant, ignorant etc, way dont' you stop hunting my posts? You are so stupid that you don't read carefully what I wrote. I intended that skid on the axel take of is not a mistake ... the skid make that jump more secure and helps the rotation. But like all techniques if you exagerate you do like Jenkins in this video. Go beck to the toilet little one ... handjobs are waiting for you.

Feb 23, 2011 - For one thing I found your post on here while I was told to look up David Jenkins. Why would I have time hunting down your posts? I'm the one practicing and watching triple axel examples. Triple axel wasn't even a bad take off, if it was, he would be in a bad air position and would have fell. Why don't you take your inappropriate name calling and act like more of an adult. In figure skating, inappropriate/ vulgar name calling is not necessary. Goes to show who's the bad one here.
iceroby72 Says:
Feb 23, 2011 - BLA BLA BLA I got sick about you ... You don't even know what you are talking about ... Listen to me ... You told that you're practicing you triple axle ... good ... make a take off like the one in this video then go to an international competition and see what a real judge pannel thinks about it ok?Good bye honey ...
filipinoICEsk8ter Says:
Feb 23, 2011 - For one thing I was told to look Jenkins up. Seeing is that he is one of the greatest skaters of the 20th century. Im here to watch and learn. If I don't know what I'm talking about, then why is it that he didn't fall? By the way, learn how to speak like an adult. Instead of calling people inappropriate names like "wanker" or saying "Go beck to the toilet little one...handjobs are waiting for you". I mean seriously be an adult. For a "judge" you speak very unprofessional.
hamstergeisha76 Says:
Mar 24, 2011 - back then skaters were mostly judged on the figure eights, so they mostly practiced on those rather than freestyle. That's the reason their jumps might look "wrong" to us these days as jumps and spins were not the most practiced aspects of figure skating back then.

Dec 26, 2011 - Holy crap!!! That was a triple!
EmmaKatherine143 Says:
Jan 13, 2012 - Wow im a skater, and this is awesome! but he did cheat the takeoff of the triple axel. He turned a half rotation before taking off, he had a good RFO edge but took off to late.
