Oct 13, 2009 - Hey I saw another version of the prince where the guy added a hen hackle in behing the two white biots. Worth doing?

Nov 30, 2009 - It's easier that way. I prefer to do them both at once, normally I don't eff up that much.

870in410 Says:

Nov 30, 2009 - Not worth it to me. I used to add it, as that's the classic version. But I find it fishes just as well without it.

Nov 30, 2009 - ok ya lol biots can be tough little guys

andrewh4 Says:

Nov 30, 2009 - ok thanks!

Dec 7, 2009 - Common, Half hitches, whip it, whip it good, Nice tie, and i agree about the hen, also if your gonna hackle it use some brown wild bird feather, they have much better action in the water. I tie them most of the time with no hackle, but if i do hackle, i partridge or pheasant to hackle it. Great pattern. a must have in the ol' fly box.

Feb 23, 2010 - don't know if the fly even works...just love the music and the presentation!...tight lines to all

Mar 19, 2010 - can someone tell me if u use a fly rod or a spinner rod for these kinds of flies

ahunted1 Says:

Mar 20, 2010 - Too light for a spinning rod, very popular fly pattern for fly fisherman. Though with a split shot, this could probably be a killer pattern for panfish on a spinning rod. Ive used many fly fishing flies for reg fishing, and especially ice fishing.

Apr 3, 2010 - I don't quite understand why "Sailors' Rest" is the accompaniment to tying a fly but I appreciate hearing my favorite Stan Rogers song.

aspca226 Says:

Nov 5, 2010 - I noticed that alot of people do that to. i have only tied it without the hackle, but i dont know if i would benefit if i used the hackle.
