Jan 6, 2012 - So Naroth is an orphan, like DJ Sotha and Sokhum in "AirWaves," and the male lead in "Staying Single When." @4:15-4;20: Oh, s***.SO disappointed in Ratana, but maybe even more disappointed in myself for believing that she'd changed. (And she's the stage mother from hell with Samphors.) Oh! Samphors' husband in the Knorr spot is the fellow who played DJ Sotha in AirWaves! He must've perfected that slurp in the noodle-eating contest from his first days at KMR. ;-)
WangXiangu Says:
Jan 6, 2012 - I think Vimean's friend the writer also had a small part in AirWaves--she called Sary's phone-in show with information about the fortune teller who inveigled Sary into gambling. Naroth is a sweetheart, but I fear he'll be Ratana's next victim. The revised commercial was really good! . Funny thing--Sros plays a cat in the first half, and Ratana's claws come out repeatedly in this episode. Maybe the cat story is an allegory for this entire episode--and maybe the next one, too. Can't wait!

Jan 6, 2012 - From episode 1 up to this, my most favorite character is still Sros! I really like his acting skill!!:]
CrazyBarang Says:
Jan 6, 2012 - Haven't watched this yet, but you've got me all psyched now after reading your comments. I saw DJ Sotha in the preview and got excited about that the day before. That guy is hilarious. As far as Ratana goes, I'm going to be like Vimean was towards Sros and Chivorn about their investment, and NOT say I TOLD YOU SO:) Ain't I noble?
WangXiangu Says:
Jan 6, 2012 - @CrazyBarang: You are noble indeed! And I am naive. At least I didn't lose my life's savings, LOL! Now that we've seen Pich Phanideth play the vengeful woman wronged, I'm curious to see her in "My Family My Heart." The previews suggest that she's a mom and school guidance counselor, so she'll be able to play up her nurturing/tough love/sympathetic side, but will she have a dark side there, too? Hmm.

Jan 6, 2012 - This drama is very very beautiful. It is so natural and vital from all the scenes.

Jan 6, 2012 - what happen to ep 23 i was so into the movie now im mad that they dont have ep 23
CrazyBarang Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - That was great at 17:00, coming into that scene already shooting the rewrite of their scene, because it takes us a second to realize that it's the commercial and not just a scene between the 2 characters. Or is that just me?
dana221 Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - i know ratana plan...she wants her ex to feel lonely like he did to her. at the end mongkol will only have himself
WangXiangu Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - @dana221: But it could be Ratana who ends up all by herself. She might ruin her own life in the process of trying to ruin everyone else's.
WangXiangu Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - @CrazyBarang: It wasn't just you. I also liked the way Ratana put her own personal stamp on the revised script, with the guy begging for forgiveness. (In her world, every man becomes a stand-in for Monkol. Or am I overanlyzing this?) Samphors does petulant exceedingly well, but she'll need a broader emotional range if she wants to succeed as an actress.
WangXiangu Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - @WangXiangu: Of course, there might be a larger subtext in the revised commercial: Men, in general, need to treat women better. That's another key theme in the show as a whole.
CrazyBarang Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - thank you for making my point a much deeper one, and yes, I'm not sure how far Samphors can go with her chosen passion without actually doing it. For now, she should just take whatever acting jobs Mom can create for her, and then eventually take over her (Ratana's) position (and persona) in the company.
CrazyBarang Says:
Jan 7, 2012 - Of course we do, and for the record, I have/would prepare delicious Asian style soup for my girlfriend, and I don't need packets of German bouillon to do it.

Jan 10, 2012 - What's the song/ singer playing in the background at 16:45?
