ESmithStringSlinger Says:

May 3, 2012 - After study on several pieces of "Twenty Studies for the Guitar" (considered the guitar bible), one can apply some of the techniques that are developed onto the electric guitar. And I'm sure others have done so.

ESmithStringSlinger Says:

May 3, 2012 - And having said that, Andres would not relish that adaptation because he didn't hold electric guitar in a high regard at all.

Vwisehoon Says:

May 3, 2012 - More and more people have been doing that successfully these days. Playing the electric guitar doesn't take quite as much precision, but people have become more fond of tone and dynamics, and there are some stunning fusions and great compositions that use many techniques from both specters and even though nothing will ever be the same as having an authentic classical sound, the electric guitar should not be put down for that reason.

ESmithStringSlinger Says:

May 3, 2012 - I totally agree with the capabilities of a fusion of the two. Since my classical guitar is in the shop, I've been playing a finger style on electric. Plus bending strings has better results. Bending is unusual on a classical guitar.

May 8, 2012 - Excuse me here, but "very nice" seems not to hit the nail on the head. André Segovia was a MASTEr on the strings. 94 years old, he died in 1987. He was genius in classics but in traditional Spanish pieces, too. Have a look at his other pieces.
