I have stated that God did not command the vow neither did he condone the carrying out of the vow. The bible simply records the incident. Gods thoughts on the matter are not recorded. Just because the bible records and incident does not mean that God commended the incident;its very easy to understand. Read deut 12 v31 and 18v9-12.Do you see why Jesus is an ancestor of Abraham now by the way? Thanks.

That God did nothing to stop Jephthah from sacrificing his daughter? I showed you why I believed he was in fact decended from Abraham. What is your point now? Regarding Old Testament laws: They applied to ancient Israel they do not apply to Christians today. Some of the moral laws apply but the civil and ceremonial do not. This is my understanding. If you read the book of Hebrews you will see the Christian stance.
