Apr 20, 2012 - nope, wouldnt happen. Gradual steam build up is required to pop the kernel and fluff the starchy center. The quick intense heat from lightning would not create enough steam, but you might get a few externally charred ears. Maybe if the lightning started a brush fire... that very will might do the trick...
