May 14, 2012 - Nice upload. I think I can honestly say I have never heard this in stereo before, though of course I remember it from endless radio listens. Not the most awesome composition from Paul, and mocked mercilessly by John, but from a period of awesome studio production for Paul. A gem for that reason alone. Cheers

May 21, 2012 - Paul and Linda's love story is and will always be a wonderful example of what TRUE LOVE looks like

uclrichard Says:

May 24, 2012 - i'm not sure i'd call it a 'classic' - more an example of paul's lack of inspiration in the 1970s. it has a melodic quality but the lyrics are sentimental and frankly empty. but as always with paul's songs, the beauty is in the basslines and rhythmic discipline of the middle section. the vocal is ok, but the harmonies are thin and don't benefit from linda's efforts. her role in paul's life (which was huge and sadly cut short) was personal rather than musical and should have stayed that way.

wmg1958 Says:

May 25, 2012 - Yeah, but listen to what is the song about. A daily routine, day in and day out; the protagonist's existence seems to them to be empty. Lyrical content forms to the concept in this case quite well. To repeat without being repetitious is tricky and Paul pulls it off here. As for Linda's vocals, lots of people have poked fun, but it is an integral part of Wings' sound and for me sparks memories of the seventies whenever I hear it. I like her voice. I always loved "Cook of the House."
