Jun 4, 2011 - Attribute it to Ignorance. Bill's sense of tonality and rhythm and ability to do whatever he wanted with no hesitation astonishes me the more I listen and work on my own piano skills.....after 30 years of listening to him I am only more amazed with his gift.

Aug 12, 2011 - most people never learn to develop tastes. they never learn to listen/taste/see/feel beyond that what they know.
jamiebonline Says:

hassanmalouf Says:
Aug 31, 2011 - I studied jazz at Michigan State University and was always inspired and encouraged by Bill Evans who I would coin the pious piano player because his practice habits were untouchable...anyways, I created a solo piano album you can hear at cdbaby (dot) com if you type in Hassan Malouf in the search if you listen to it please reply and share your thoughts!

Sep 5, 2011 - when it says composition: Ben Raleigh and Joe Zawinul does it mean that this version is played by them and not BIll evans, I am stupid
Bruningable Says:
Sep 5, 2011 - No, it means that this piece is composed by Joe Zawinul and Ben Raleigh.
mikakrstic Says:
Oct 7, 2011 - They made sure to take it away from us by launching the biggest evil in music called : The Beatles. That's when music died
DoctorSess Says:
Oct 9, 2011 - asking an honest question isn't stupid, it's smart

Jan 6, 2012 - I attribute taste to either hearing 'it' or not...to not hear 'it' is but a form of ignorance...no offense to those that don't hear 'it'!

Jan 30, 2012 - Sadly that's so true, from the days with Ben Webster to his days with the syndicate, he is one of those musicians you just have to respect
navazguitar Says:
Feb 2, 2012 - Jazz exists in contrast to pop music. The Beatles contributed to jazz indirectly through their beautiful songs.
Flextones Says:
Feb 13, 2012 - Jazz existed before the Beatles were born. It existed while they dummied music down and it exists now that they no longer exist. Do not mention that low class music from England in conjunction with quality American music like this, please.
TheGreyHeaven Says:
Feb 15, 2012 - If you don't like this, you don't know music. This is divine.

Feb 15, 2012 - he was keyboard right?

Feb 24, 2012 - i thought this tune was by Bill ???????? am I wrong ???
aliekaleidoscope Says:
Mar 9, 2012 - no actually you have it backwards. Jazz contributed to the introduction of rock (the beatles, the who, and such). Ever notice the foundation of some of the early rock stuff? It likes to be based around dominant chords which totally started in jazz. Nothing else like jazz innovated everything so much with the use of a dominant chord. And if you don't know what a dominant chord is, it is a major triad with a flat 7th. so if you worked off of C, itd be C E G Bb.
navazguitar Says:
Mar 10, 2012 - The influences worked both ways whether they were using dominant 7ths, major 7ths, or altered chords is irrelevant..
Hubcool367 Says:
Apr 3, 2012 - what the fuck. How did they dummy music down? How is Bill not as dead as Lennon? Why do you use peaceful music as a purpose to express your bigotry? I understand how you'd think it's misplaced to mention them on this video, but I don't see the need to be hateful.
Allanrpsx Says:
May 21, 2012 - I love Jazz, but i see nothing wrong with the Beetles. Yes, that music is only a shadow of Jazz, but if anything, i would blame the people for letting that music get so popular, not the people who just enjoyed making music.

jamiebonline Says:
Apr 11, 2011 - i can never understand til the day i die how anyone can not like this kind of music, how they can think it is background music or dismiss all jazz music. where are their souls at?
