May 7, 2012 - Just because somebody from band you don't like uses a certain brand of amp, does NOT mean the entire brand sucks. I don't like Bullet For My Valentine, but I still like Peavey amplifiers. And honestly, my vote goes towards the Orange. Taking into account the price, tone, and simplicity of it, it blows the Mesa out of the water. Now, I'm sure you could get a great tone out of the Mini Rectifier, but it's far easier to do so with the Dark Terror. Keep your mind open, sir.

May 11, 2012 - My friend had that cabinet. We closed the back and used 2 mikes on the cabinet, 1 for each speaker. Because of the way bar owners and sound men bitched we put the cab on it's back on top of a 4 foot tall stand. Then he could crank his Marshall up where it sounded best, no complaints from anyone :)

May 13, 2012 - Dark Terror, hands down.

May 18, 2012 - While I think that guy's comment was stupid, I disagree (to a point). While I agree that just because someone bad uses an amp doesn't make it bad, it does give you an idea of how something sounds.
ZenotheMetalWarrior Says:
May 18, 2012 - I'm not saying that one amp is superior to the other here. Besides, his example of "Jim Root uses Orange Amplifiers, therefore they suck" was not only ignorant, but Jim doesn't even use a Dark Terror. Idk what he uses, but it's not that. They are two completely different amps.

May 24, 2012 - Mesa boogie mini rectifier is like crispy cornflakes. You could add milk, yogurt, berrys and all sort of things. Orange dark terror is just like muddy cup of coffee, Only got 3 knobs; Milk, Sugar and strenght on the coffee beans.

May 25, 2012 - i swear, in the vintage mode, i heard a lot of Slash-ish tone. surprising from a mesa

May 25, 2012 - For all the amazing shredding etc. going on in this vid, the thing that really knocked me out was when Chappers went from clean to grind just using his guitar controls/technique - very impressive!

JBL8863 Says:
May 30, 2012 - The Mesa has more EQ selection not just bass-mid- high but also has push for clean and modern or vintage for the gain section... Mesa amps take time to get to know how to find the right tone vs the Orange which is basic with just a gain knob. I still prefer the Mesa line because unlike Orange, Mesa hasn't turn to China to manufactured their amps. All Mesa amps are made in the USA
