May 11, 2012 - This video is a total fail. It gives all sorts of pointless detail, like the primer and photoresist being applied at 21C and taking 3mins but then doesn't even mention the etching process -- suddenly, we're developing the image etched on the glass -- what image? When did that happen? It gets coated in nickel and vanadium -- how? Likewise, the process of metalizing the CDs is "extremely short and very simple" but not even a hint is given about *how* the disc is aluminium coated.

May 17, 2012 - In English cultures, Aluminium with the -nium ending would be correct. In America, we call it Aluminum with the -num ending. Both are correct, just depends where you are in the world.

yosoccerboy Says:

May 27, 2012 - actually, it seems other countries need to accept that one of their own scientists has renamed aluminum "aluminium" and that american scientists didn't want to change it. it was originally "aluminum," however british scientists wanted it to fit in with "calcIUM, sodIUM, potassiUM," etc. and changed it to "aluminium." american scientists saw no reason to change the name and kept its original name.
