They take away anything that is unnecessary. Now if you look at something like an Alienware computer, that would be an example of what you said. If you look up Jony Ive's interview in Objectified, you can see what his philosophy is. You can hate Apple, I don't mind that at all, but they're one of the few companies that truly care about design.
