Apr 1, 2012 - He's not a "god". He's just a decent, fantastically talented Englishman who could wail on the guitar, make it cry, make it weep, make it jump for joy! (And, he's also a gifted composer, producer, and astute businessman.)I love Jimmy Page! But he's not a "god", and he knows it.
MrSamram3 Says:
Apr 1, 2012 - I agree. Most alleged "guitarists" who can't play acoustic, usually can't play electric in any exceptional way.
MrSamram3 Says:
Apr 1, 2012 - Oh, well, I hope you know what I mean. That if they can't play the acoustic guitar in a complex way (besides strumming), then they probably are generic on the electric. Heck, even I can play "Smoke on the Water" as a lefthander on a righty guitar! hehe

Apr 2, 2012 - Except for The Edge...and Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo...and Nels Cline ;-D

Apr 3, 2012 - When the interviewer touched Jimmy's "mistress" I already was booking my flight to track the mother down, beat him to death and dump his bloody pulp of a body in the Atlantic. Then at the end I realized it was just a guy from Gibson to spec out the guitar, so Gibson can make a reissue which us mortals can play. Good thing I watched the whole video. I really didn't want to go back to prison. Whew! Almost my bad........
MrTadeo01 Says:
Apr 6, 2012 - THAT FRIGHTENED ME TOO.I HAD TO GO BACK A LITTLE TO CHECK WHO WAS TOUCHING THE GUITAR.I FROZE WHEN I SAW IT.HEHEHE
MrTadeo01 Says:
Apr 6, 2012 - kinda touching his wife´s rear.

Apr 6, 2012 - I believe you could buy a Rolls Royce after selling this guitar,am I right?
Bobjb999 Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - I guess musicians get somewhat used to it, but Les Paul's weigh a ton, & can't be too comfortable to have hanging around ones neck while standing on stage for long periods. I know at least one guitarist, Randy Bachman, has noted that playing heavy weight guitars night after night on tour can lead to neck, shoulder & back problems. Gibson should make a more ergonomic balsa wood version!
iMacccc Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - Or you could go the route of say a... Les Paul Studio? I realize many would argue the point you can't get the same sound, or sustain, but from personal experience a nice amp and rig certainly get the job done. Beats the hell out of holding one of those gorgeous beasts for long periods of time.

Apr 30, 2012 - I am willing to bet that when Jimmy dies and he is on line to go to heaven, God will take one look at Jimmy and say let that one in NOW !! Then Jimmy will be escorted into the VIP lounge where he will be able to hang out with Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Les Paul, John Lennon, Sinatra and all the other entertainment Gods in plush confort. I also bet that John Bonham will be waiting for the rest of the Zep guys with his arms open and a bottle of finely aged booze. Live long Page. ----From a USA fan
ExclusiveLM Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - Jimmy says his guitar doesn't beat him up for alimony........ how could that be ?? mine does !!! Look at was one night and I was lonely OK !!!!! But, I digress.
zzaldoushuxleyzz Says:
May 1, 2012 - you are delusional.
MrMatt131877 Says:
May 5, 2012 - I would be on my knees crying if i were in the man interviewing Jimmy page's position.
CreativeChick8 Says:
May 10, 2012 - I believe Gibson actually just came out with a reduced weight 2012 Les Paul. I personally think the weight is part of the spirit and the beef of the LP. It's part of its character.
5stringofFernandoSor Says:
May 11, 2012 - Jimmy Page is an amazing person. Like you said, for a rock god, he's amazingly humble, personable and gentlemanly. My dad claims he met him in a bar once, after a show in Detroit in the late 60's and he was shooting the breeze with Jimmy like he knew him all his life. People like Jimmy Page don't come around very often.
5stringofFernandoSor Says:
May 11, 2012 - I watch EVERY SECOND of this video intently, as if I will one day be able to play half as well as this man...and write even one decent song.
ChrisWGuitars Says:
May 27, 2012 - I don't think Jimmy's lived at Boleskin Lodge for ages now. I was in software sales in the late 80's and one of the clients I picked up was living there...
JoeSzilagy Says:
May 27, 2012 - Interesting, with regards to the appearance of the place, I read somewhere where a girl had gone out with someone who was a friend of Jeff Beck's, and when they went to visit Jeff at his castle decades ago, she described it as filthy inside with animals running around everywhere!
roker7426 Says:
May 28, 2012 - I noticed that the first pick up is from the guitar. But what pickup did he integrate in the second one? Is it single coil for the high pitched solos?
