Apr 27, 2012 - then that would mean f150s are for guys who underwent transgender surgery.

hankeybillfred Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - No, that would mean that F150s are for men who want to tow and haul shit to the dump, but dont want an oversized shitbox ram that handles like garbage. Also my 68 F250 will easily outpull you, its called crawler gear, fords have em, rams dont.

scarface115 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - lol, it's not going to out pull me, i don't own a dodge. i'll admit, i don't know much about trucks for their pulling power. i really don't know why you're going off topic anyway. i was clearly talking about performance, not pulling power. there is no denying that the srt-10 ram is the fastest production truck in the world (i don't classify the holden maloo as a truck). so you can keep your f250 because its purpose does not satisfy my desire.

hankeybillfred Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - Performance wise? Buy a ford Lightning and bolt on a Kenne Bell Supercharger, nuff said, good luck catching it.

scarface115 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - lmao, you really want to go into the aftermarket modifications discussion? ok, then buy the srt-10 then take it to hennessey and he'll turn it into a venom 1000 and your little supercharged lightning can continue to watch the ram's taillights all day. good luck even trying to see it by the end of the race.

Apr 28, 2012 - Ironically, if I was working at McDonalds, I'd be a professional in whatever position I was in. For example, a professional cashier, or perhaps a professional fry chef. Do you have trouble understanding basic English? For the, what, fourth time, a professional is someone who is paid to do what they do. A journeyman is someone who is experienced in their field and has earned seniority.Contrary to your implication, I am not employed by McDonalds. I own and operate a late model flatbed.

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - There is no stock, factory equipped truck: true. But for the money you are spending, it is not entirely difficult to equip any truck to meet similar specifications.

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - Funny you bring this up, the Ram's 6 speed has a first gear similar to the old "crawler" gear found in old pick-ups. But that aside, the crawler gear doesn't really have anything to do with outpulling. If you want to compare a trucks pulling ability, it is best done in direct drive (fourth in a five speed, or fifth in a six speed), as this puts the motors to work, and not the gears.

mattdaman666 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - Ohhh so you're just a Professional thief. Stop scamming people. Fucking tow truck drivers.

standifordjl Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - hater

hankeybillfred Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - You REALLY have no idea how a powerband works, do you?

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - I undersand a powerband perfectly well. But if you are comparing motors, you want to compare them in similar situations, no? For a light duty diesel, that would be pulling in direct drive. The rear-end ratio should already be set up so that, when at cruising speed, your truck is at peak torque in fourth gear. For example, in my 2009 Ford Ranger, in 4th gear at 65 mph, I am at 3,150 rpm; the exact location of my peak torque.

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - If you want to talk about gearing, you are talking less about the motor and more about the transmission and the truck as a whole. I was specifically addressing the part of your comment that stated "it's called a crawler gear, fords have em, rams dont". In fact, most diesel pick-ups have more than enough torque in a regular "non-crawler" first gear than is necessary. The reason the old, old pick-ups used crawler gears was because of a lack of adequate power (especially in the pre-turbo days)

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - But that said, the crawler gear still has almost nothing to do with actual practical towing and hauling ability. I don't know about you, but when I am towing, I rarely travel around at 2 mph. In fact, in my 2005 Peterbilt, I've never once used the "low" crawler gear, except to grab a gear when coming to a stop if I miss first.

hankeybillfred Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - I was referring to tug-of-war, and pulling contests where you go for maximum distance.

onebadmutha84 Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - Whats the VIN number on that Raptor. Just so I wont buy that one.

mikeallenbrown1 Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - Arguing with strangers on YouTube ...you guys need life's (and girlfriends). Run along now little boys, go play world of war craft.

angusandleigh Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - ...that's right...also why Dodge offers theirs as an aftermarket kit...and with better parts than on the Raptor stock...and overall less money I think too..

nextrider123 Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - lmao and a dodge is a POS from the engine to the transmission

angusandleigh Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - ...I've owned MoPars for over 15 years...all different sorts...never had issues with any, not even the fleet of Ram's and Dakota's I maintained...I currently own a 2008 Jeep Liberty, and a 2010 Dodge Charger AWD...and both have been excellent...the 3.5HO in my Charger was (up until recently with the new 3.6L, one of the most powerful (hp and tq, 250 accordingly) of it's day...and one of the most reliable...and as for the 3.7L in my Jeep...it may not be as powerful as my Charger, but it is...

angusandleigh Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - ..rock solid, and the drive line in both have been flawless...

webhijacker1 Says:

Apr 30, 2012 - had this happen, doesnt look like much but the tie rod ends or control arms are probly bent

mannwhosoldtheworld Says:

May 3, 2012 - The tug-of-war is a bullshit contest, although pulls are pretty legit; but a granny gear is hardly going to help you on a full-length pull

MrThe420pacman Says:

May 3, 2012 - dam right

UuDonKnowMe Says:

May 15, 2012 - Power Wagon
