If we remove paper money we will move to a barter society and all that will do is shift importance from one group of people to another (most likely to people in control of food and water). In which case people who do not offer anything tangible to society such as, artists, writers, historians, musicians, invalids, etc. will find it very hard to barter their skills for the bare necessities of life.
