Mar 21, 2012 - I love Iggy Pop and he was, just like Bowie, one of my major childhood heroes. Even if a lot of the credit goes to Iggy for this song, I never ever heard the Ig sing this as good as how Bowie does here (except maybe on the original lp track on the Idiot). It's also quite funny how they tend to perform their songs at the best shortly after writing it. The many many updated versions later on don't bring much any more in general.

May 27, 2012 - Okay, I've heard three versions of this song (Voltaire, Iggy, and Bowie) and so far my favorite is Voltaire's. Voltaire's is a lot smoother, but still pretty dark. Iggy is just haunting and almost terrifying. Bowie is a little humorous in the beginning and it seems like he's trying to act out the lyrics. But that's just my opinion.
