Apr 2, 2012 - Collin,If u think its too hard to solder alot of LEDs by hand why not u just reflow them?? It's faster.

Apr 5, 2012 - Does V+ on the virtual ground mean the 12V supply or the input signal?

Apr 9, 2012 - very nice video Collin. I´ve ben looking for something like this to decorate my son room. My question is: Can i put maybe 15 leds for each color ? i know that vcc from transistor don´t support that. but how can i adapt the circuit for that ? Thanx in advance. Keep working !!!

Apr 11, 2012 - Its connected to the 12V supplyV+ corresponds to the pin of the MC332 (the IC that contains 4 OP's that he used)

May 3, 2012 - can someone plz explain how the conditioning circuitry works? i mean wat are the two capacitors and two resistors before each transistor for?? to divide the current? plz help

May 12, 2012 - Hi,How do we connect the input of the circuit to the speaker actually? the wire from the input needs to be connected to which part of the speaker?

May 16, 2012 - im looking to do this but with a much larger scale, say 50 led lights for each section (mid/high/low) and also i want to know how i could seperate them so the mids could be on one wall of my room and the highs on another etc. please help
plecto1234 Says:
May 18, 2012 - What is the point of the 2.2uF and the 39kOhm on the output? High-pass filter with a cut-off frequency of 1.85hz? Also, where is the current limiting resistor for the base?
plecto1234 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Buy those 3W star leds from ebay instead of soldering 50 small ones. Not sure what transistor he used in the video, but the standard 2n2222 NPN has a current rating of 800mA which is enough for those star leds. About seperating, just leave the transistor and resistors on the board and draw wires to your lights.
plecto1234 Says:
May 24, 2012 - You connect the input of the led organ to a computer or something, not a speaker
plecto1234 Says:
May 24, 2012 - That can easly be done with a microcontroller, an arduino for example. It's far easier than this color organ, requires the most basic of programming understanding aswell.
plecto1234 Says:
May 24, 2012 - Just buy a bigger NPN bipolar junction transistor. The transistor shown in the video is by far big enough for only 15 leds though.

May 24, 2012 - really?! I have a Schematic for a project would you know how to build one??
