He's stolen a LOT of blues songs and called them his 'own'.Anyway, to the others of that argument House of the Rising Sun has no official artist, it's a folk song, everything we know of, of who sings it are covers. Though I do lean toward Animals version more but only perhaps it's the first version of it that I heard.

It doesn't have Jimi's trademark bending & vibrato style either. Sounds like the Frijid Pink version without the vocals.
