Mar 4, 2012 - I had an US magazine from 93 with a great article on jackson (because I'm Alive was just released) and in the article he mentioned a college student who had interviewed him a year or so before for her school paper and then it turned out she died in a car accident and one of her college courses assignments before she passed was to describe their own funeral. And in it she said Jackson Browne would be there playing For A Dancer. So her friends contacted him to tell him all this info.

Mar 4, 2012 - and he came to her funeral and played For A Dancer during the service. That is one special human being to put it mildly. He was telling the US interviewer about how the song was about his friend Scot who had passed away back then , but how it could change , and it was all of a sudden about her instead that day.

Mar 30, 2012 - this song was played at my best friend's funeral a few months ago, she remained a loyal JB fan till the end...we grew up together listening to JB back in the 70s, lost touch for a while, then found each other again by chance in the mall...this was our first JB album we bought with our school pocket money in 1975...great memories!

Apr 3, 2012 - This man is never noticed for his lyrics and it's sad that all these wanna bes that get recognition and song writers like this go unnoticed.

Apr 7, 2012 - i appreciate all forms of writing, but when i hear a song like this, or the great works of joni mitchell or neil young or bruce springsteen or bob dylan or whoever else you want to mention, i am amazed. to say this much in what would be less than a page in a book is a staggering gift.
