May 6, 2012 - here is the thing, if you wanna watch pure entertainment cinema sometimes, thats fine i get it, there are a lot of filmmakers in bay's 'group' who make entertainment films and not crown jewels or artistic masterpieces like kubrick. take for example nolan, he is pretty much a improved version of bay. why watch bay when you could watch nolan or even cameron, who do the same thing as bay, just a little better. thats why i don't get why people watch bay films.

May 18, 2012 - sometime during the 1960s i believe. my point is that 2000 was obviously the future when this was made, so its not strange. you can't blame them for not being 100% accurate. moreover, the film isn't meant to be scientifically accurate, it's a film based on symbolism etc., it shouldnt be taken at face value, i dont know if youve seen it but i would strongly recommend watching it if you havent!

May 18, 2012 - the reason why some folks dont understand this movie is bc they are too young to understand the period of time this movie was filmed. back then there were dreamers who wanted to go to the moon and further. life progressed and nobody now understands bc gov't doesnt look past looking back inward here at us instead of outward.
