May 4, 2012 - mreed91: You are free to believe whatever you wish. So am I. But I don't pretend to know everything and I think you probably don't either. As a tree hugging pagan taoist, I can't honestly say I believe in heaven. But I like to think about Stevie and Albert and Lightnin' and Charlie Parker and Coltrane and Jimi and so many other talented sinners in a place where they could jam for the rest of time. If we're both wrong, first beer in the heavenly road house is on me.

May 6, 2012 - Like Albert King said, a lot of blues players have speed, but they have no soul and vice versa. Stevie has both, which made him so damn special and amazing.

mreed91 Says:
May 10, 2012 - Again. Why would there be alcoholic beverages in heaven when Christ Himself told us not to be drunk with wine?
mreed91 Says:
May 10, 2012 - True. Very true. However, Jimi would have had to turn his life over to Christ. You see, there is no way to heaven without giving our lives, our desires, even our will over to the care of Christ. I would venture a guess that it is impossible to do so while in a drug induced stupor, as was the case with the last moments of Jimi's life.
mreed91 Says:
May 10, 2012 - Just saying what I've read on thousands of comments. "Jimi's up there shredding with Jesus!!!"
mreed91 Says:
May 10, 2012 - Yes it does. The scriptures are the direct divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit. You'll see when He comes in His glory, the sky is rolled back, and we're taken up. Then you'll see the error of your ways.
luv853okg Says:
May 10, 2012 - Hmm, what was it he did with water at Cana? You cite John 2-23 above. Back up 15 lines if you don't remember. Dude must have been awfully conflicted, huh?You apparently cannot grasp that I do not share your version of The Truth. Oh well. That is your issue, not mine. All this poor atheist/pagan/taoist can do is follow the example set for me by some great Christian role models I've been lucky enough to know: hold no malice, wish you well and keep on walking. Have a good day. I mean it.
mreed91 Says:
May 10, 2012 - dude. Turning the water to wine. You must not understand that you couldn't drink the water back then. It was dirty. We hadn't invented water purification or filterization at the time. So the only way to drink it was to first let it ferment, thereby creating wine. And even then, it was very little alcohol, just enough to make it drinkable. You could drink it with bread and not get drunk. But to abuse it and drink it to excess, that is a sin.
Ismofani11 Says:
May 11, 2012 - If it was like that, 60% of worlds population would be going to hell. Most people don't give their desires to Christ or God. Only true believers do that.
mreed91 Says:
May 11, 2012 - Unforunately, 60% or more IS going to hell. Jesus said "Not everyone who cries Lord, Lord will enter my Kingdom". "Straight is the path, and narrow is the gate that leads to righteousness, and few will reach it."

May 11, 2012 - Somehow people had gotten by drinking unfilterized water for thousands of years. And then there's the line about the guy telling the host: Dude, you're supposed to put out the cheap wine first, and save the good stuff for later, which suggests Jesus made some awfully nice stuff. I agree, there's a huge difference between drinking wine and getting hammered. We disagree on other stuff, is all.
leonplynn Says:
May 11, 2012 - I simply disagree. You know, I have encountered this line of thought before. My family includes both Christians and Jews and some of the Christians insisted for a long time that the Jews had to switch or burn. It used to make me very angry. So did other stuff that ultimately landed me in prison. Thankfully I met a kung fu master there who took me under his wing and showed me a different light. I understand it is not the same as yours. Try reading Tao Te Ching sometime if you are curious.

May 28, 2012 - Umm.. Actually.. Some people think that for listening to this music you go to hell. Everyone has heard some rock or blues or jazz etc, so everyone's going to hell. Happy now?
Ismofani11 Says:
May 28, 2012 - I love God, but i still refuse to think what this jerk thinks.
