Dec 5, 2011 - Julian Casablanca's voice sounds alot like Lou Reed's and Jim Morrison and no one seems to make a fuss from that.Coldplay are very similar to radiohead, Oasis are very very beatles influenced and Liam looks like a combination between John Lennon and Ian Brown.The list is infinite....having that, my question is, why some people are bitching about Nirvana and The Vines? it is so unfair.Both are incredible bands,unique in sound.I hope people will open their eyes and see the vines awsomeness.

Dec 8, 2011 - @gabitangerine The Vines started their career as a Nirvana cover band, actually, so it's a great comparison to make. Personally I love the Vines, but Nirvana is still good. Just different styles. The Vines are more "FUCK THE WORLD!," while Nirvana used proper capitalization. And metaphor.

I also think that the vines are not only about ,,fuck the world,,. They are very versattile and also deep. With songs like Mary jane, amnesia, winning days, 1969, country yrad, autumm shade songs and many others. You can easily tell that they are about the feeling and also about rocking out at the same time.
