Dec 29, 2011 - Whistle tone (aka whistle register) or falsetto, neither of which are within an individual singer's natural range, does not automatically result in damaged vocal cords. It's is all about the technique used to achieve either effect. Is it something that should be practiced regularly? Not at all because that in itself would be damaging.
