May 15, 2012 - I'm 28 and I agree. The music was alot better and the record was king! I would have loved to have been born in that era, but alas I'm stuck in this technology driven and talent deprived generation with some of the worst looking cars ever made. I envy you.

230910bella Says:

May 16, 2012 - amen

ScottsTubeify Says:

May 17, 2012 - I'm 24 years old and I love the classic music, but your comment is something else. You can keep your free-flowing STDs, suicide cults, and syphilis, I'll keep my modern medicine and technology and enjoy some good tunes.

ScottsTubeify Says:

May 17, 2012 - I grew up with a mom and dad(before he died from cancer when I was 5) who always listened to the stuff from the 60's and 70's and my grandparents always used to listen to people like Bob Crosby ect., so I like to think that I am actually one of the lucky few overr ActSafe. Not only do I get modern medicine, I don't have to deal with a-track tapes, 40mph speed limits, and I have the technology to bring all this great music with me anywhere I go, and I get to communicate with the entire world.

StonesInMyPassway Says:

May 17, 2012 - Oh stop it, every generation thinks they're the best generation. There's nothing special about feeling that way.

StonesInMyPassway Says:

May 17, 2012 - yeah, cause no one plays sports anymore. Man, I sure do miss the days when we had professional sports leagues for baseball, football, basketball, and all those other forgotten sports that have gone by the wayside ever since the advent of digital television.OH WAIT!

riffmon Says:

May 17, 2012 - Yup!We got the good shit!

rbfld24 Says:

TheJames1745 Says:

May 21, 2012 - He's right, though, James. Times were simpler then before 24 hours access to news and music. And you know what? In many ways better.

MrCarl220 Says:

May 21, 2012 - Yes, his old group, though he came later on after this song. Not sure who sang this.

TheZenuc Says:

May 21, 2012 - This song was written by a friend of mine..to a girl named Amy Reil..lots of memories..his name is Bob Cayo.

emalename Says:

May 22, 2012 - Craig Fuller sang this,,,

StrawberryBoy100 Says:

May 23, 2012 - 55 people aren't named Amy.

michaeljamsmith Says:

May 23, 2012 - I always thought that. Here is the problem. Vince did not join the group until four years after this was recorded. I am sure there must have been a live performace or some show like Midnight Special with Vince singing it and that could have led the confusion. Plus Vince when on the Country Music superstardom and his name is forever associated with anything from this group.

friscomint Says:

May 23, 2012 - Vince Gill sang "Amie" live in 1984 at the CMA awards after show but unfortunately they never recorded it and the real lead singer was not with him when he did that and he sang the lead. Also this year supposedly at the Eric Clapton Blues Festival in Chicago he's planning on doing that with saome of the origal memebrs minus the lead singer and yes they're going to record this one.

SnakeDoctorSilver Says:

May 24, 2012 - Craig Fuller wrote this song, not Bob

scaley5 Says:

May 26, 2012 - I remember being at a company picnic and they sang this song this song to my daughter Amy and she felt really special.I will always thank them.

mts2457 Says:

May 26, 2012 - I'm 21, white, and love this song haha thanks to my black dad lmaojk I'm just a 21 yr old white girl who loves classic rock etc.

Michael Smyth Says:

May 28, 2012 - Been years since ...but always a favorite song to cover. Most folks sing a long. It has been such a long time since this was on the radio people have forgotten what a great tune it is.

johnwerneken Says:

May 30, 2012 - I'm 64 White and I love this song too...it is very personal....afaik she's happy now...
