Dec 9, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 Indeed the sun is not the point. It was an analogy. Your interpretation of the supposed "evidence" concludes that god does not exist. However, someone else's equally valid model may determine that god does exist. Both models are valid. By excluding someone else's model because you don't interpret the evidence in the same way is extremely close-minded. You are entitled to your model, but that does not give you license to ignorantly belittle others for their views.

oncewasfound Says:

Dec 9, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 Your message seems very contradictory. You aren't claiming that god doesn't exist, but insisting that it must be proven with evidence that doesn't exist? Also you're faulting me for forcing beliefs I haven't claimed as my own on other people, whilst demanding I agree with you that god doesn't exist. All the while using patronizing and belittling language and calling me a hypocrite and close-minded. Forgive me for saying so, but am I really the hypocrite here?

oncewasfound Says:

Dec 10, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 Perhaps I haven't represented myself very well. I agree that faith without knowledge to back it up is empty and meaningless. However, some people would argue that they have evidence that god exists, whereas you would interpret that evidence differently. Religious experience is a phenomenon that is thus far largely unexplained. If we apply Hawking's model-dependant realism then both models (god, or no-god) are both equally valid if not equally useful to you as an individual.

oncewasfound Says:

Dec 10, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 I'm not making any claims about god. I am, however, trying to enlighten you. I would like for you to see how narrow, limited, and prejudiced your comments are. I'm trying to educate you on Hawking's model-dependant realism. I am trying to get you to expand your perspective to consider other points of view. I am trying to engage in an honest and philosophical debate about the nature of reality and the role faith and evidence play in that. You, sir or madam, are missing the point.

oncewasfound Says:

Dec 10, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 Your experience has formed your model of the world, just as someone else's experiences form their equally valid model of the world. You read a book. You formed opinions. You then decided that everyone else who read that book and has a different opinion must be wrong. From the same "evidence" contained within the same text different people created different models, all of which are valid. Evidence in and of itself is neutral, your view is based solely on your interpretation of it.

Dec 10, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 This has become an exercise in futility. I'm really not sure you're going to understand this. My hope is that someday you will reflect on this conversation and think for a moment before your prejudice overtakes you. In that moment I truly hope you will consider that there are other perspectives beyond your own. Other people who have an equal right to believe what they believe. Instead of furthering ignorance and intolerance I hope you come to appreciate the plurality of our world

Dec 10, 2011 - @ShotzMaster117 This conversation that you two have, is also a realm of delusion and stupidity. No matter how much you guy's fight over your beliefs and your rights of Freedom of Speech, this conversation will never go anywhere. No one ever converts over an argument on YouTube(Especially Atheist Vs Christians). All arguments are a waste of time.-Those who bring attention to themselves online are in a realm of delusion and stupidity.-So just listen to the music, or your just wasting your time.

Dec 28, 2011 - YouTube has a comments section for a reason. It's human nature to argue about things that are important to us. Perhaps no one will have a complete reversal of their position, but people may advance their knowledge and beliefs by noting salient points in the other person's argument. I know it's happened to me on internet forums - maybe even on YouTube. If you're only here for the music, don't scroll past the video. =)

Dec 28, 2011 - I guess my view on Youtube is a source of Information and Entertainment. So when I look at comments I expect those things, not pointless arguments. Don't get me wrong I also found myself in such comments, but I don't continues in such. I respect your views and points, But I hope Youtubers will also share there knowledge and beliefs without belittling others.

Jan 26, 2012 - No atheist believes it's all from random. We understand incredibly little about the universe. When we say "Oh m god", I believe we simply have a feeling of being part of something incredibly big beyond our comprehension. Our feeble minds call this god but I believe the truth must be much more special and extraordinary than we can even begin to imagine. Even if nothing happens when you die (which I don't believe) I would have been proud to be part of something so grand and loving.

Mar 5, 2012 - Only a REAL FOOL would claim there is no God! Man creates awesome skyscrapers, fake hearts, tunnels, vehicles etc.. If we are very imperfect then what more can God create THE UNIVERSE! You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior to receive eternal rest in heaven! Simple! John 3:16 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him! Repent & accept Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ or HELL?!? Visit cbn. com

Apr 12, 2012 - My ex broke up with me for being unequally yoked.I even told her I'd try to believe and that I'd push her in her beliefs.Sometimes with her it felt like something is out there. There were moments where we said the same things at the same time and we understood each other.I tried getting over her but felt this powerful urge to fight.I seemed to crack her shell a bit, but the next morning I find this site with Bible quotes saying it's ok (continued......)

chrisockman Says:
