Astronaut Sam Bell is living on the far side of the moon, completing a three-year contract with Lunar Industries to mine Earths primary source of energy, Helium-3. It is a lonely job, made harder by a broken satellite that allows no live communications home. Taped messages are all Sam can send and receive. Thankfully, his time on the moon is nearly over, and Sam will be reunited with his wife, Tess, and their three-year-old daughter, Eve, in only a few short weeks. Finally, he will leave the isolation of Sarang, the moon base that has been his home for so long, and he will finally have someone to talk to beyond Gerty, the bases well-intentioned, but rather uncomplicated computer.Directed by Duncan Jones.

Feb 5, 2012 - @marvelousmarv89 No, your mind just doesn't have the cognitive ability to fathom the intellectual complexities and concepts this movie resonates. Perhaps you should just stick to transformers, and leave the critizing to those who with right qualifications.

Feb 5, 2012 - @98qw1 **SPOILER ALERT** I understand very well what was going on so you need to keep stupid comments like those to yourself. The original Sam Bell was on a indefinite mission, and eventually the original one died, and they kept sending clone's of him with programmed memory. What was there to take away from this, besides the fact that this form of energy probably really exists and that the US government really has a base on the moon? There was no climax or rising point in the movie, I was waiti

Feb 7, 2012 - @ArthurHammerr SPOILERS BELOW, FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT WATCHED IT YETfor me I thought it was the moment the clone realized that her daughter who he taught was only a few years old is already a grown up teenager

Feb 8, 2012 - I was expecting this movie would be like those other movies like Armaggedon, The Core, etc. still Armaggedon is the best Space movie for me.
JettriderRS Says:
Feb 9, 2012 - 0:15 the perfect shot to begin the story with. The analogy of the treadmill is wonderful: Sam Bell constantly cycles between clones without progressing in his life at all, destined to stay still on this one track forever. That's why I can't agree with reviews saying the movie peaks too early. The twist of the movie is not that this particular Sam Bell is a clone, it's that he's about to get off the treadmill.
