Feb 11, 2012 - You're Probably right about that but on the Flipside that wasn't Perry's Demand to make he didn't create that band the only ones at that point who should have had the say in whether they continue as Journey was Neal Schon and Ross Valory it's THEIR band they founded it

Feb 17, 2012 - Met greg in 1987. he told me story of Steve perrys audition

Feb 17, 2012 - I was a bartender in columbus ohio at R & R USA a large club with rock and roll theme and greg came into town to meet Carrrlos santana for a promotional gig for new band. He told me the sotry of picking up Steve Perry at New York Metro Opera and riding around in a VW listening to him sing. the rest is history as they say

Feb 19, 2012 - One of my best all time songs, very up lifting. Thanks Journey!

Feb 25, 2012 - You can't blame him for that. Geez! I mean he leaves one hit band for another and now BOTH still perform after what, 40 years?! With the door still open on both counts. =)) I bet he'd be the only way Journey truly reunite. If he came back then Perry with Steve backing him. I'm sure that's what the holdup in the 90's was for reals. That it wasn't right. Something was missing. Especially then with the 70's nostalgia in full swing.

Mar 2, 2012 - What an awesome band! Rollie and Steve Perry made for a great combo! Man, I miss the days when music used to be awesome like this!

Mar 5, 2012 - Yes, there is no doubt Journey (especially with the Steve Perry/Greg Rollie combo) was a GREAT band.

Mar 9, 2012 - I love the line where Steve Perry sings, "Oh no, you should be holdin' on to him girl"

Mar 22, 2012 - Journey never sounded the same after Greg left losing their chief songwriter etc. I spoke with Greg for quite a while after a show here in Jersey and he was genuine with a pleasant personality. Your right he left to persue other things in music and was totally OK with bringing in Steve Perry to fit the main vocal spot and after Journey's success he felt it was time to move on. Great loss for the band but thats the Biz!

Mar 29, 2012 - The lead singer on the keyboard and Perry in the chorus vocals in the front of the stage is simply humillating

Mar 29, 2012 - There's a special place in hell for VEVO, and one in heaven for Journey

Apr 4, 2012 - At 2:01 Steve points out Gregg's current groupie in the front row for him......Just kidding.....LOL. Oh man, this is a blast from the past. Steve's black and red was the top look for him.....Never to be seen again afterwards. When I think of Journey, this is the lineup I see. Not that any other members afterwards were not good for the band........But, this is the lineup that kicked everyones ass first off and made them who they are to this very day. Just the coolest video - Cheers

Apr 13, 2012 - Yea at the end with the infinity tour he was really drained, I recall him saying "they called it the infinity tour for a reason" I'm happy he can take it easy now.

May 17, 2012 - Whatever happened to pop rock groups that sounded like this? This isn't even embarrassing to admit you like it. Name any pop singer today that isn't someone your friends would make fun of you for listening to them.

May 20, 2012 - Aaahhh, you're so right! I don't know how the whole "jealousy" argument ever came to be. He was just tired, plain and simple, and at this point in time, there was nothing to be jealous of. Gregg had already attained more success and popularity with Santana. I WISH Journey could have stayed in this genre of music, but it just wasn't meant to be. LOVE the two of them together!
waywardsmile Says:
May 20, 2012 - REALLY!!! How 'bout when Gregg sang "Black Magic Woman"..umm (behind the keyboard), while Carlos stood out front playing guitar? Or how 'bout just about everything Fleetwood Mac does? This is just how some of the best groups are...they're ALL talented individuals who have their own contributions to the band, and it's what makes them successful, varied, and not boring.
