Mar 10, 2010 - Pretty much the truth, but Monique has lost some weight and has gone from being a fat ass ugly trick to being halfway decent. Good job. Now you need to get your girl Gabourey on board because that bitch is big.

Mar 12, 2010 - Her performance is stunning to white folks because they dont know anyone like that. Black folks have seen that character and know it well. That is why intelligent black people are not laudung the impact of that black female image that she has perpetuated. Black actors have to play themselves like this to win Oscars. Halle Berry did it in Monsters Ball. Hattie McDaniel started it off with that permanent mammy portrayal that has dogged sister ever since.
boogerfoot24 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - It's not just about being black. Bottom line, there are good ppl, and there are bad ppl....period. I am white, and I endured years of physical and mental abuse from my alcoholic mother. I didn't laugh at this movie, I wept, I smiled, I cheered...but I didn't laugh. Antone out there who thinks that this is movie portrays any kind of normalcy, I weep for you as well. This movie has brought to our attention a great tragedy in our modern society. The story itself and the prejudice with it.
sugerless20 Says:
Mar 13, 2010 - Just because Monique is black & the storyline was abuse doesn't mean how it relates to all black ppl. Just like how not all Muslims are terrorists or hate the west. The minority doesn't represent everyone & that goes for any race or religion.
MaxMikeLatino Says:
Mar 24, 2010 - Those bitches have Oscars. What does your country ass got? Do you realize how many white women have won Best Actress Oscars for playing hookers? The whole game is shit for everyone white & black. Your black ass need to feel proud and grateful that Hattie McDaniel paved the way for your ass to even be an actress if you chose to. Let alone win an Oscar. IN 1939 FOR GOD SAKE! You better know if your ass was in 1939 you'd be picking cotton somewhere.
