Mar 1, 2012 - I miss Christopher so much. of course I did not know him, the thought of his death drives me to tears, always. Goodbye good sir. You have been one of the most wonderful people i have ever had the chance of meeting in his work.
BitJKar Says:
Mar 2, 2012 - 22:37 A devastating criticism. Well done.
kram83au Says:
Mar 5, 2012 - atheists, a herd of cats, penny dropping yet. how about observing the title of this video when talking of there being no atheist philosophers.
BT3701 Says:
Mar 26, 2012 - This video should rather be titled 30 Clueless Writers Speaking about God
lorca999 Says:
Mar 27, 2012 - thanks for this compilation. can you tell me where the hitchens lecture was filmed and from what video it is taken from?
bluenightfox Says:

dreamtoreal Says:
Apr 10, 2012 - love this video thanks for sharing!
kelman727 Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - So should that comment rather be titled 'cluess arsewit vents?'
MLSCRC Says:
Apr 22, 2012 - Philip Roth's sly sidelong glance before he makes his second remark makes me smile. Norman MacCaig's sharp, stiff "Reason!" is another of my favorite responses here.
alexanderhulse Says:
Apr 23, 2012 - It's as if your sticking your hands over your ears and saying "lalalala!" Do you want to actually learn something, or do you wish to continue living in ignorance?
xTkAx Says:
Apr 23, 2012 - i apologize, and admit i was a bit upset and don't actually think they are that way, because i don't even know them. We learn as we grow, and its important that we be excellent to one another and love one another and honour each other. The way of the future is to love one another, that is what works. If a person learns of love through faith and trust in God, and then they love and share it, then who can fault them? The point is to love one another, being noble, excellent, and admirable, to all.
lotsahooey Says:
Apr 24, 2012 - @elcat9091 "why not ask dostoyevsky, kierkegaard, or tolstoy or john milton" - You've got audiovisual clips of these guys, have you?" - they are known by their writings. To dismiss this is to provide the same justification for dismissing your own (in this regard). To demand recordings of any kind, is superflous in light of what they themselves 'said'.
JPararajasingham Says:
Apr 25, 2012 - "To demand recordings of any kind, is superflous in light of what they themselves 'said'."Please try and pay attention to the context of my comment. I make videos of people SPEAKING about God. Therefore the names mentioned here do not apply, any more than historical atheists would.
lotsahooey Says:
Apr 25, 2012 - Apologies. I get it now. Never mind what I 'thought' ~ I'm enjoying what you've done here. Thanks!
trunksgx1 Says:
Apr 26, 2012 - Writing sf requires a great deal more common sense and intelligence than writing a so called "holy book." Thinking that an average loser like you can have some insight on this topic is pretty funny.
RobbeyT Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - This is amazing! I didn't realize the ignorance around this subject of "God". Jesus tried to teach them all about "God" yet still they are fooled by what others have told them, they don't know WHO, WHAT or WHERE God is! Amazing, really amazing for such great minds there is still little understanding even in the 21st century!!
sloranger88 Says:
May 1, 2012 - "Fooled by what others have told them"; "there is still little understanding even in the 21st century!!" The irony of this coming from a religious person is just too much for me.
RobbeyT Says:
May 2, 2012 - It would be if I was a "religious" person practicing a "religion", but no one has to belong to any religion/group as this is NOT a requirement. No one has to "belong" they just have to "be".Spent some time yesterday asking many different people around my town, asking about what they thought of God, of what/who it is God, where does he/she/it lives..if they believe at all. Most everyone thinks like these renowned people in the video. I'm truly astonished!
bonnie43uk Says:
May 4, 2012 - My one personal criticism was the musical overlay, I'm a big fan of Ludovico Einaudi, but in my view it distracted from the authors voices. A nice selection of fine writers you chose there though JP. RIP Christopher.
musgrave68 Says:
May 6, 2012 - "where knowledge ends, religion begins!" -- benjamin disraeli
giy147 Says:
May 14, 2012 - For your comsideration: What if one could enter your thought processes as though they were your own? You can't see who that one is nor can you prevent that one from doing so. And what if that one was your adversary?
wehrvenus Says:
May 22, 2012 - belief in god is a powerful force - but it has one fault- it does not change - and that is not real
BionicAK Says:
May 24, 2012 - I cried when Christopher Hitchens showed up

sfajaxel Says:
Feb 23, 2012 - Hitler and Stalin thought they were living gods and were going to replace the gods of old. They were not atheists. I disagree with one of the speakers though. He was too kind. Religious indoctrination is not like having one's hand tied behind one's back. It is like Chinese foot binding of girls. Once the foot was bound and broken, the damage was permanent. The minds of the religious, broken in childhood, can not be made well. It is going to take centuries to rid this planet of religion.
