Oct 11, 2008 - PCP is what the tazer was invented for. There is no other way to take them down.Pepper Spray has no effect.
csifan18 Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - Well it just depends on how the skin reacts to pepper spray, 'cause I saw a police video of a woman getting pepper sprayed at a Wendy's after the off-duty cop said she didn't give him the exact amount of change...after she was sprayed, she started wheezing, and was taken to the hospital...later, she sued him, and won the case with approximately $60,000...
DeltaFoxtrotWhiskey3 Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - She wasnt on PCP...those people have superhuman strength and nothing short of a tazer will affect them. You can take a baseball bat to their head and they wont even blink. What happened to that lady is what pepper spray does, and she was right to sue in that instance.
csifan18 Says:
Oct 12, 2008 - I didn't say she was on PCP...I was just saying how the pepper spray affects someone's skin of reaction, because of the incident, she had a right to sue...

vickiormindyb Says:
Jan 14, 2009 - If he was on PCP, a tazer wouldn't have worked very well. The drug began as an anesthetic that was discontinued b/c of its bad side affects. PCP abusers don't feel anything you do to them.He needed a drug that paralyzes muscle movement, which is usually administered to patients on PCP.In my 15 yrs. as a Paramedic, it's the only thing I've seen that effectively controls them.

Feb 26, 2009 - wow! when i heard the shot, i thot the cop shot the bad guy!!!. but when he said i was hit i got scared.
AFGSANFORD2 Says:
Mar 10, 2009 - The suspect needed a good beating with a sledge hammer for all this or twist his arms & break them off with channel lock pliers. I could never be a cop cause I'd end up using very excesive force on suspects. I wonder if pepper sray or a taser would have worked on this guy
GarfieldVsSnoopy Says:

Aug 17, 2009 - Yes, but it was NOT Philadelphia. It's a suburb and I don't think it's even part of Philadelphia County. I think it's part of lower Darby County. They have their own police, and it's supposedly better to live there than Philly.Obviously, it's not always true. We're from Philadelphia: my daughter, her dad and me.Her dad grew up in all the rough areas of the city, but he was one of the most decent people I ever met.
Jeloni2 Says:
Sep 11, 2009 - Yes, south eastern PA. Right outside Philadelphia.
vickiormindyb Says:
Sep 26, 2009 - Officer Greg L. here: I'm not familiar with police procedure on the East side of the U.S. But it's not unusual for an officer in any state to end up grappling with a suspect. You can't easily spray mace on a suspect you've already taken down and are using two hands to hold in place.People who don't work in law enforcement or security should ASK about police procedure before adding critical comments about how officers should handle a combative suspect.
betatalk357 Says:
Mar 5, 2010 - Yep. The incident happened near chester pike and rt. 420. Norwood, Prospect Park and Ridley Park are all within 2 to 5 minutes of each other.
steven2be2003 Says:
Mar 26, 2010 - the cop should have just shot his ass in the legs and he would have stopped running..how the fuck they let him grab the gun..just shoot his ass and I bet he would have stop struggling
