Apr 21, 2012 - Artists today really need to take a listen to what music used to be... It contained soul, passion, and power. I wish people still made music like this.RIP Levon Helm. You're my boy, Blue!

Apr 21, 2012 - Rick and Levon vocals combined with Garth's arrangement really gave this song some soul. "Acadian Driftwood" a song that brings awareness to the plight of my ancestors that some describe as Canada's holocaust - aka "The Expulsion of the Acadians". The odds were not in the Acadian's favor but they endured... one only has to look at the amount Acadian or as the slang goes "Cajun" based programming on channels such as TLC. A great song by a great band. RIP Levon!

Apr 21, 2012 - I was living in Shreveport, La. when The Band's 1st album came out, but seems Shreveport didn't keep up with their music so good. 1st album is all I have and in the 90s bought "The Last Waltz" on cd a box set. I think the only remaining living member of the original The Band is Robbie Robertson. I too will miss Lavon's (his birth name) music. Only artist out today that comes close to The Band is Ryan Bingham and The Dead Horses.

Apr 22, 2012 - Indeed he was and still is. I wonder just how many folks will attend his funeral. It would prolly be a 'who's who' of Rock & Roll...

Apr 26, 2012 - Great Poetry set to music . This has to be one of the finest productions I've heard . True story of the plight of these people. Listen to the British flutes riffs & The Cajun squeeze boxes. Had my 17 yr old listen. You know what he says? Hey Dad can you get the words? Thanks Band!

Apr 30, 2012 - wwwgreatbuyoutletscom wwwtopfuelsavercom A great shout rang through the air, and rushed along the river; and then another, and another; and the shouts were heard spreading along the line of the procession towards the Duomo; and then there were fainter answering shouts, like the intermediate plash of distant waves in a great lake whose waters obey one impulse. They walked on in silence for some time, under the small drizzling rain. The wintry days passed for Romola as the white ships pass one

May 14, 2012 - My very favorite Band tune. Sung by Richard Manuel, Levon Helm, and Rick Danko. All gone now. That makes the song even sadder. RIP gentlemen.
