Mar 13, 2010 - Im a 12 year old kid from filnland, but when i look at the video i can see so many brave soldiers, that i feel PROUD! W.W.2 Was something so important, to the whole modern world, that even many centuries after this, should remember and be proud as i am. my granmas father was at that war, because he lived in britain. I juts hope those annoying idiotic people goes somewhere else to continue theure fight, because W.W.2 had enough of that!
PhilWane Says:
Jun 6, 2010 - Yesterday (just gone midnight so technically June 7th) was the first anniversary of D-Day without my dad who died October 2009. He was a veteran of both Dunkirk (1940) and D-Day (1944). These old clips always seem very real to me because he was there. To think I sometimes moan about a bad day a work and I'm a university lecturer. What he must have seen... He ended up in Berlin in 1945.

Sep 11, 2010 - At 2:34, my Uncle was involved in those landings with the CF, dodged a lot of bullets and came home alive in one piece, but was a very different person, He drank lot and never wanted to talk about what He experienced there.
metalrocks21rapsucks Says:
Nov 4, 2010 - My Grandpa knew 8 brothers who went to war, 7 of em died and when the last one came back to Canada he started drinking a lot trying to forget the horrible experiences he faced in France.

Jan 29, 2011 - My grandfather was their in Normandy. shot twice. The first was medical leave to England secondsent home that was in Poland during winter. He never gave me the date and he passed on in 2001. He Said men would give in do to pressure and put themselves into fire and stand to get shot dead on. Something about whistling noise. was common when telling me these stories. He was in the Army infantry from Texas.

Feb 10, 2011 - God didn't like alot of soldiers huh? I don't think God stopped the axis powers so much as the allied powers.
14duanem Says:
Mar 19, 2011 - Both my brother and I are convinced the man at 0:32 in the video is our grandfather who passed away 13 years ago. I have spent 30 minutes comparing video pauses to his military photo. He was a Canadian soldier that landed at Normandy during the second wave. How do I get details to confirm if this really is him? My e-mail is 14duanem@gmail.com
excl0213 Says:
Jun 6, 2011 - Lmao, nice loss of over 250.000 soldiers in disembark only.
zerker12568901 Says:
Jun 11, 2011 - Americans didn't even face a real war in ww2 they got a fight from whatever the Eastern front could spare the old the young the sick those to spare from German cities if Germany had better leadership (no Hitler) - formed a flexible front in France had better anti air defence then German armour would have trunched the allies and if they had not invaded Russia, Hitler would have been a German hero.
Hummer12ism Says:
Aug 22, 2011 - Its hard to imagine that the soldiers run up in the beach facing bullets!
snipersas Says:
Sep 7, 2011 - actually the germans lost the battle of britain regardless of the eastern front, and operation sea lion was always a pipe dream considering the kriegsmarine was trash compared to the british navy. also, even if hitler didn't declare war on russia, russia eventually would have entered the war.

Blackfriday420 Says:
Nov 8, 2011 - Germans who fought in Normandy said that it was some of the most intense combat many of them have ever faced, even the ones who fought in the east.
bishlives Says:
Jan 12, 2012 - These are real men. We all owe them so much, I wish more people would have the respect that some of us do we owe them our lives. Live forever soldiers we will ALWAYS love you
paintballKid545 Says:
Jan 15, 2012 - Oh my god. People knock it off with this honor and sacrafice crap. None of you know what sacrifice is, or honor. Just shut up with all this 'RIP' crap. You don't know what real war is like so don't say you appreciate something you know nothing about. God you people are so fucking stupid. The people who died okay yes its sad , but stop trying to relate to them by saying things like 'my grandpa or dad was there''. Were you there? No. Now im not saying don't respect them but atleast know first.
BookerT48 Says:
Apr 29, 2012 - My Grand Dad never really spoke of it. Very rarely. God Bless em all, where would we be without them? The times changed, but the qaulity of men has not.
