A proper low flow, baffled filter is absolutely necessary to the health of your fish, unless you intend to do daily water changes. Bettas should be kept in a minimum of 2 filtered gallons at around 80 degrees.

Dec 22, 2011 - Ey bro I dont wanna critizcise u but i had that tank bought for like 12 bucks and another one 21 and this one is .5 gal the other one is 1.5 but i saw 2 3.5 gallon tanks for 20 and bought both, and returened the other ones, the new one has heater and filter, plz get em at least a 2.5 gallon tank :) some are very cheap and are a lot better.
