Title: klaus Nomi W/ David Bowie -- 'Man Who Sold The World' [Audio Only]
Added: Aug 3, 2009
Author: KingOfUm
Duration: 3:5
Description:
Duet on SNL with Klaus Nomi and David Bowie. Some people think David Bowie stole Nomi's signature costume style for this performance, but in actuality it was Bowie's costume that inspired Klaus Nomi to design his own.

Nov 16, 2011 - Please let us know about any other rare Bowie performances you might know of. I thought I'd seen everything he'd ever done. It's great to keep finding 'new' old work. <3 <3 <3 ! ! !

Feb 1, 2012 - ATTENTION TO FANS OF THIS PERFORMANCE: STOP SENDING ME LINKS TO VIDEO UPLOADS OF THIS FOOTAGE ON YOUTUBE. I AM TIRED OF HAVING NEARLY A DOZEN MESSAGES EVERY WEEK OF PEOPLE DOING THIS. I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY YOU PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO DO SO.

Apr 15, 2012 - Like the Rolling Stones, Bowie is a better writer than a performer. The originals are not as good as their many covers, IMO
KingOfUm Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - I hope you're not implying that a Bowie cover by a certain over-rated grunge band from the 90's is better than the original.
jasonledyard1 Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - OMG, NO! I hate grunge.

Apr 28, 2012 - Nirvana over-rated?!?!?!?! Get right fucking bent man. I don't comment on youtube but i simply cant stand for that kind of nonsense...
KingOfUm Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - No, you can't stand to comment on youtube because you can't stand hearing diverse opinions.

RobertKing00 Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - That's most definitely not the case sir. It's just irritating to have someone denounce a truly original artist. Kurt Cobains poetry and music was as without ego as it gets. Bowie is Ego. An entertainer.
KingOfUm Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - And I disagree completely.
SaintJaded Says:
May 7, 2012 - Are you kidding? Listen to the "Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture" version of Moonage Daydream.

May 11, 2012 - I like Nirvana but their rendition of this song is.... well ....... I really want to like this song is the best I can say.
myTVC150 Says:
May 11, 2012 - Calling Bowie an entertainer is like calling Cobain lumberjack. Bowie revived alot of careers and as far is Kurt Cobain goes....well before him there was Iggy Pop "a truly original artist". You should be thanking Bowie. Bowie or Iggy are waaaaay more than Cobain...want proof just compare there bodies of work.
RobertKing00 Says:
May 11, 2012 - Your comment was really boring to read.
myTVC150 Says:
May 12, 2012 - Good, glad i wasted your time...lets fight

LordKalbert Says:
Nov 15, 2011 - Yeah. Bowie has released, like 30 albums. Manson only 7. I don't know if that proves or smooths over anything that I said before. I was actually really liking Klaus Nomi until I realized everything he's done was a cover. He's almost like Weird Al.
