In Elvis's words, "almost a year later".The reason they called him was because they were unable to locate another singer and needed a stand in. Amazing they were still able to get in touch with him after all this time. Just think if they weren't due to Elvis changing his phone number or moving.

Aug 23, 2011 - Help anyone! .....One thing I do not understand is how it has been stated that Elvis made a record to give as a late birthdayday present to his mother (see books written about him and above opening paragraph). How can this be? He made the record in Feb/53 and Elvis's mother's birthday is in April...two months later. Therefore, it would have had to been "an EARLY birthday present" and not a late birthday present. Am I right?
