Aug 18, 2011 - Check Wikipedia for Marion Keisker.
srp960 Says:
Aug 23, 2011 - If this is correct then there are several books out there that misspelled the name.

Aug 23, 2011 - Help anyone! .....One thing I do not understand is how it has been stated that Elvis made a record to give as a late birthdayday present to his mother (see books written about him and above opening paragraph). How can this be? He made the record in Feb/53 and Elvis's mother's birthday is in April...two months later. Therefore, it would have had to been "an EARLY birthday present" and not a late birthday present. Am I right?
91Bear Says:
Aug 24, 2011 - Maybe so, but Sun Records spells it Keisker too.
srp960 Says:
Aug 27, 2011 - @TheMemphisSound...... Elvis stated in an interview that it was a year and a half later when Sun Records called him. Why would he say that if it was only a year? Clearly there is a difference between a year and year and a half.
ELVIS4221 Says:
Sep 5, 2011 - SOME OF THOSE EARLY, EARLY AND GREAT PICTURES LOOK JUST LIKE HIS LITTLE GIRL
ELVIS4221 Says:
Sep 5, 2011 - COLUMBO, YOU ARE TOO MUCH. MADE ME LAUGH, MADE MY DAY. THANKS.IT WOULD PROBABLY BE SAFER TO SAY, WHEN YOU'RE AROUND, HE MADE IT FOR MAMA.
srp960 Says:
Sep 9, 2011 - Yeah, you're right, I would have made a good detective. I like to think and I don't like to be told what to think. Most people believe anything they're told.
JoeyJoelBand Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - Geez, don't over think. It is not just common, but normal for an artist to be 'loose' in communication. I said almost the exact same thing a couple of days ago.. "yeah, I been playing there for two and a half years or so." Another time, I said "been playing there for about three years." The point was not how EXACT long, but that I was there. Re the recording. If he had the money, the time, and 'felt' it, why is it unusual to get a present ahead of time?"
srp960 Says:
Sep 19, 2011 - To me there is a distinct difference between eary and late. The two are opposites. How can anyone get them mixed up in "loose communication"?
JoeyJoelBand Says:
Sep 21, 2011 - You are joking, right? You don't know a lot about Elvis, I mean other than fan sites, or write ups. He did a lot on impulse. If he saw something he'd think his mother would enjoy, it is quite realistic and believable on impulse he'd buy it. What is so unusual about such thing? Meaning do disrespect, but artists and entertainers are often very different in their thinking and behavior. I apologize for saying this, but I don't get you understand the mentality.
srp960 Says:
Oct 2, 2011 - Your reply never addresses my previous reply to you . What are you talking about???I know people are different in their thinking.....so what else is new? I don't get your mentality.I know more about Elvis than you think. Yes he did act on impulse and yes he bought things on impulse. This is a no brainer about Elvis. I was simply disputing the time frame in the eariler statement I made which does not add up. See above. His record to his mother would have been an early gift.
srp960 Says:
Oct 2, 2011 - Elvis had blond hair as a small child......as well as many other male celebs including Clark Gable.

Oct 16, 2011 - interesting this was only 6 months after hank williams died. both born w/in 200 miles of each & both sign markers for their generations. the torch was being passed here. the flame would be for the world to see 3 years later.

Nov 21, 2011 - Right, I just wondered if somebody else noticed it.

Jan 5, 2012 - I love this. His voice was so versatile, and it changed a lot in the first couple of years of his career. In this recording it's so smooth and dark; it sounds extremely influenced by the Ink Spots.

May 29, 2012 - This is a song for one's Essence Twin. Elvis' mother may have know hers and this song was for her (indirectly for him). An Essence Twin relationship is the most powerful one on the planet (or maybe in the universe). With this simple gift to his mother, his position in history (as the King) was assured. The Group Soul of mankind implemented elevating him to this position simply by moving the hearts of all mankind. He became a global phenomena, not just a famous USA singer.

srp960 Says:
Aug 18, 2011 - Actually I think her name was Marion keisler (or kiesler) not Keisker. And also I think Elvis made the recording in Feb/53......Marion persuaded Mr. Phillips to call Elvis July/54. In Elvis's words, "almost a year later".The reason they called him was because they were unable to locate another singer and needed a stand in. Amazing they were still able to get in touch with him after all this time. Just think if they weren't due to Elvis changing his phone number or moving.
