Duration: 3:26
Description:
Music from Australia and New Zealand in the year 1981:Men At Work's promo-video for the Australian number one hit single 'Who Can It Be Now' (June, 1981), taken from the 1981 album 'Business As Usual'.Note: Men At Work's first single 'Keypunch Operator', was released in 1980 and made little impact. Another single titled 'Down Under' was a limited release and sold only at the band's gigs in Melbourne. The original version of 'Down Under' was recorded at a slow pace and showed no commercial potential whatsoever. After being re-recorded and re-released, the single became an international hit; thus, making the little known Melbourne band an internationally famous band that many people really liked, whilst others didn't like them so much, yet they never failed to make new fans years after they split up.Band Location: Melbourne, VIC, AustraliaTrack: Who Can It Be NowAlbum: Business As UsualComposed By: Colin HayProduced By: Peter McIanLabel: CBSChart Position: # 1 (Australia) - # 1 (United States) - # 45 (United Kingdom) - # 45 (New Zealand) - # 49 (Netherlands) - and chart success in other countries.Release Date: June, 1981 (Australia) / August, 1981 (United States)Footage Information:Links:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_at_work- http://www.australianmusichistory.com/men-at-work/- http://countdown.com.au/artist/men-at-workLine-up:Colin Hay - Vocals, GuitarGreg Ham - Saxophone, Guitar, KeyboardsRon Strykert - GuitarJerry Speiser - DrumsJohn Rees - Bass-------------------------------------------------NZOZ NZOZ1981 1981 Australia Early Eighties 1980's 1980s 80's 80sExtended Tags: Colin Hay, Greg HamMusical Terms: New Wave, Rock, Aussie, Old Australian Band
