Description:
I Have a Dream SpeechMartin Luther King's Address at March on WashingtonAugust 28, 1963. Washington, D.C.When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Mar 8, 2012 - This really was the speech of the 20th Century. This speech IMO sums up what America was going through for much of the 20th century - racial equality whether it be education, transportation. The 20th Century was The Century of Civil Rights.Martin Luther King Jr. as a white teenager in Mississippi(though its irrelevant) , remains one of my heroes. His words have inspired me since the very first time i ever heard the "I Have a Dream Speech". Thank God for Martin Luther King Jr.

Mar 8, 2012 - He's a great man.He must have known that he was signing his death sentence by speaking these words.

Mar 8, 2012 - I find it sad that we live in a world where, on the one hand, some countries live in a society of extreme prejudice, racist and homophobic societies, societies where you can die for your choices or status, yet on the other hand racism has become a hyper-sensitive subject. I'm all for equality, but when a coffee machine with 'black' and 'white' coffee is changed to 'milked' and 'unmilked' (I've seen it done) to avoid racism, that's a shame. Let's not over-egg it, people.

Mar 8, 2012 - Martin Luther King - uses publicity as a weapon in his fight for freedom. Kony 2012 - spammed everywhere for similar reasons. Don't let the Ugandan children's lives continue as long as the civil rights campaign. act now, spread the world. Let the world know

rekabelo Says:

Benwofl Says:

Mar 8, 2012 - We just don't work well together. Martin Luther King was wrong and he himself even admitted to it. He said from his own mouth:"I fear that I am integrating my people into a burning house (America)"He knew before he died that his integration speech would be more damaging to Blacks than if he had never given the speech at all. Now many of us are integrated and have lost all culture, contracted the AIDS/HIV made for us, the cocaine (courtesy of CIA + weak minds like Ricky Ross).

THMV1 Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - one thing you always notice through the years in this famous speech in the crowd there are many white people in the audience makes you wonder if it was the media that was fueling the fire (so to speak) back in the 50's and 60's

GTBonds Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - Many white people were certainly a part of of this movement. But having grown up deep in the south, I can assure you that racism was without doubt a part of everyday life for the majority of us living there. As unfortunate as it was to have to endure these times, the exposure through the media was often a God send and a curse. Those whites who were more sensitive to the cause were certainly fewer than those who weren't, yet they often without hesitation put their own lives at risk.

ncktyu Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - And still to this day blacks suffer from racism to a certain degree, that's why I want to go back to Africa

jadawesomely Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - So true so true so true

Mayerszky Says:

diki1555 Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - I understand what is like to be discriminated and anyone who does racial profiling are those who doesn't respect King. So I would never backfire to those who are racist.
