Dec 29, 2009 - Great Song! Although, if that was 1969, why are they in suits? Everyone by that time left that mod look except for them. Way to keep it alive!

zoeyrawkz Says:

Dec 30, 2009 - Funny, I saw another video, 1967, in colour and they were wearing hippe clothes. Now they're wearing suits and it's in black and white. Kinda cool.

Dec 31, 2009 - @brilliantcolors7: I love this version too but why "definitive"? Do we have to categorize in a way that denigrates the original single with Graham Nash? They're both great.

IBeGodly Says:

Jan 1, 2010 - The boys sound very good in live performances. This proves they're great singers.

Jan 4, 2010 - I have said it a couple times--The hollies were one of my faviorte groups when I was a teen and into my early twenties. I had all their 45's and Albuns. Its great to listen to good music.

Jan 8, 2010 - No shit, this is great ! Great singing and harmonies. Bobby the drummer is always nice to watch, a top drummer!

Jan 9, 2010 - Regarding their suits, it is a bit "odd" for 1969, true, but my guess is that they were on the BBC Four and had to 'clean it up" a bit, for sure. Thus the suits, which look very, very stylish anyway! At least they didn't need to get their hair cut.

Jan 9, 2010 - I was named after this song. :o) It makes me so happy to hear it! My parents were young when they had me (19) and when trying to decide on a name for me, they sat and poured through their 45s. When they came to "Carrie Anne", they both decided that was it! They decided to leave the 'e' off the end of "Anne" though, I guess because the name that was in the family didn't have the 'e'. Thanks for this!

Jan 26, 2010 - I was at my bank today and the tellers name was Carrie Anne. Knowing and loving the song/Hollies, I mentioned it to her. She blasted me on how the song was so offensive to her. I was totally taken back. I told her that I don't think the song was written as a personal attack on her. Then, I got the hell out of there. Wow, talk about sensitive.

bollockart Says:

Jan 30, 2010 - hmm , I wonder if the hollies can do a rap version now.

mirniand Says:

Feb 2, 2010 - Graham Nash was still with The Hollieswhen this song was recorded in '67.Terry Sylvester (formerly of The Swingin' Blue-Jeans)joined the Hollies after Graham Nash's departure. While The Hollies were doing this version in '69, Nash was then performing with former ByRDS veteran David Crosby, and former Buffalo Springfield lead voclaist Stephen Stills(as Crosby, Stills, & Nash).Overall, this is one of my favorite songs. :)

mirniand Says:

newhotman1001 Says:

Feb 19, 2010 - On March 15, 2010, the Hollies will be inducted finally into the RRHOF. My best friend and his wife are attending the ceremony and he told me that this will be more exciting than seeing the Beatles in Detroit in 1966 at the old Olympia. This group had so many hits and should have been received better in the US than they were. Still, one great song after another.

12345BeatlesFan Says:

Mar 1, 2010 - Ok this song was ok but you can't compare the hollies to The Beatles!!!

faeryquene Says:

Mar 8, 2010 - Why would anyone need to compare The Hollie-or any other band of the era-with The Beatles? For me they were great on their own merits. I enjoy all bands of that age and I don't need to go about 'comparing' them. To what purpose? It's not a popularity contest. It's music. Just enjoy it.

HickysBoy Says:

Mar 17, 2010 - I agree. So many great bands, so much wonderful music. Personal preference - I never cared much for the Beatles and certainly think Bobby Elliott a much better drummer than Ringo.

SunnBurn Says:

Oct 18, 2010 - Fantastic! No other way to put it.
