Apr 26, 2012 - The translation isn't very precise in my English dictionary, but the idea of the kick is any part of the legs making contact. I think you wanted to see the same contact point with different style of kicks to determine quality of strength; but that doesn't determine which style is stronger just which man is stronger.

Apr 26, 2012 - if they were gonna measure knees hey should have had all of them do knee techniques. They wouldn't have the same contact point, some would be heel, some could be instep, and some could be ball of the foot. They said strongest kick. Muay Thai has a kicks in it. they should have measured there kick.

LaiTianKai Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - From what I understand the knee is still a kick just with a different contact point? I didn't know we were disputing that. I thought we were talking about the hold. Does Taekwondo or any others besides Muay Thai have knee kicks? The distinguishing of hand and elbow and knee and foot is what keeps many martial arts from progressing in my personal opinion.

xyzc2 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - Doesn't muscle matter? They should have compared each styles' force to muscle mass ratio to get an accurate description of an effective punch.

disclaimer05 Says:

Apr 30, 2012 - Having my father teach me martial arts (he was an assistant instructor in Kyokushin karate), I never noticed I actually punch like a boxer, not like a karate practitioner. I pivot my back leg, much like a boxer. I guess my dad thought it was better. He was right.

Kingsevends Says:

May 10, 2012 - They should all start their own Fight Club !!

martialartsman627 Says:

May 10, 2012 - If the Taekwondo guy did a jump spinning hook kick he would have probably generated more force than the Muay Thai kick.

SupremeFL1P Says:

May 13, 2012 - Let Manny Pacquiao punch that dummy.

renzokata Says:

May 16, 2012 - and the shape hes in!

renzokata Says:

May 16, 2012 - kinda funny how the style known mainly for kicking throws the 2nd most powerful punch-even though that was a lunging right cross-a boxing move.

renzokata Says:

May 16, 2012 - and btw-boxing doesn't look exotic or even complicated-but theres a lot more to it than what it looks.

Spiderhoot Says:

May 20, 2012 - Are you seriously saying that a punch is specifically a boxing move? For real? Dude, every striking martial art includes and every striking martial art includes strikes with the rear hand.

Spiderhoot Says:

May 20, 2012 - Comparing knees to kicks is apples to oranges, and the other martial arts included use knees as well.

renzokata Says:

May 20, 2012 - yeah every style does but that was a lunging right cross. they don't teach you to hit like that in tradional tae kwon do-the same thing as a straight punch or in karate-reverse punch. i know i have a black belt in tae kwon do and i train boxing now. it's two different ways to apply force. one from the hip, the other from the shoulder. cross is actually one of my favorite moves.

LeaveTroll Says:

May 24, 2012 - kinda funny how you think you know what your talking about.seriously, im grinning now.

renzokata Says:

May 24, 2012 - what do you mean?

renzokata Says:

May 24, 2012 - whos grinning now?

renzokata Says:

May 24, 2012 - where did you go? you wanted my attention-now you got it faggot. i train boxing. so i do know what i'm talking about. what was that again about you grinning? something about having a low self image and trying to bring others down with you? now whos grinning?

Rolexx Swagg Says:

May 25, 2012 - thats a hard core sneeze 8:28

lawngnome412 Says:

May 26, 2012 - cause underneath its a free ad for boxing style fighting. they really make light the kung fu guy's skill and power. he 'only' puts 612pounds into that fast light punch. so oh no that isnt that strong. but if you look at the sport science with mma fighter houston alexander, he throws a 600pound punch and they are all 'whoa thats a lot of force for a quick punch, wow'. so same ammount of force range as the kungfu guy, but they give houston the credit, while ignoring the kungfu guy. biased

LeaveTroll Says:

May 26, 2012 - Practice boxing for more then 2 months before attempting to internet troll. btw, i dont have low self esteem. im an arrogant son of a bitch with great abs.

renzokata Says:

May 26, 2012 - ive been training in boxing since 2009 dude. i learned from kevin "the hitman" hall. ranked 3rd in the world-super middleweight division. stepped in the cage 3 times, won 3 times. trained in martial arts since i was a wee little boy. i have abs too. i'm not the troll-you are. look at your name. btw, if you felt good about yourself, you wouldn't try to talk shit.

renzokata Says:

May 26, 2012 - btw, since you wanna talk like i dont know anything. check this out. the difference between a cross, and a lunging cross-is throwing the cross from a stationary position(with your feet firm on the ground)-to stepping in, and then throwing the cross for more force without losing balance. it's like the difference between a jab and a lead jab. THANK YOU.

norcalkid900 Says:

May 27, 2012 - yeahhh they don't take size or strength into account...

TheTerrorUforgot Says:

May 30, 2012 - Taekwondo doesn't throw from the shoulder. The hips twist in their punches. He was just sliding in the stance instead of stepping right over left into it.
