Oct 31, 2011 - Maybe I missed something, but the title of this video says "Rolling Stones and the Hells Angels at Altamont," and there isn't anything about or including the Rolling Stones. Maybe, like saying the event happened in 1968, this was posted by someone who is literacy challenged. For the unaware, the song is "White Rabbit" by the Jefferson Airplane, and may or may not be from their performance at Altamont.

It was intended a free Stones-gig at the end of their very expensive, much critisized '69 tour, that had rather resemblance to their Hyde Park gig that year. As they missed out on the real Woodstock (Jagger was a dickhead about perf there), they wanted something Woodstockish: they knew there was a Woodstock-movie on the way. That came to be Gimme Shelter. Infamous movie about an infamous event. Altamont was a Stones gig with a few bands as opening acts.
