Apr 9, 2012 - Wow! I had all the TJB albums when I was a kid (up through Summertime...very different sound, more so than Warm IMO), but I NEVER HEARD THIS SONG since it wasn't on The Lonely Bull LP. Years later I'd learn that many of the musicians listed on the albums didn't play on them! (They were members of the touring TJB.) Then I learned about Hal Blaine & the Wrecking Crew, and why the bass drum on the Beach Boys' "Let's Go Away For Awhile" (Pet Sounds) sounds exactly like the one on "A Taste Of Honey"!

Apr 15, 2012 - Hal Blaine is a Drum God, and a very nice person. Only the hip know of him and the Wrecking Crew, but hopefully the movie will surface for the public, and these guys can take the victory lap they deserve. Hal had the best time ever, and they could comp multiple takes from different passes and they would always line up. What a gift.
