May 13, 2012 - His voice is very very good but in saying that, his voice doesn't work for this song in my opinion. Too over the top for this song. If you hear the original, Don Mclean gets it perfectly....afterall he wrote the song, he knows that the song is about appreciation of vincent's work and sympathy for vincent. Josh doesn't get it, you can hear from his voice.

May 28, 2012 - Don's version is quaint and reflective. Groban's is deeply emotional and epic. In a sense both song versions are perfect in their own ways though perhaps I can agree with you about Don's version being the best song tribute to Vincent if only once again due to it's reflective aspect.
