In our continuing effort to stay aggressively one step behind the technological curve, we present the next installment of the Hawkes Video Blog.In the second week of July, we budded hundreds of Merlot vines over to Cabernet Franc. One concern was that it was too late in the season. The oppressive mid-summer heat could seriously diminish our success rate.Of course, if you missed the first video post, it's recommended that you catch up. In our second post, we head back to Red Winery Road to check on the progress of the newly grafted Cab Franc vines. Although Jeremy's good looks reach an all-time low and Jake's wrinkle-free slacks need an oil-change, this time around we've deployed stunt drivers, pyrotechnics and background dancers.
