May 25, 2012 - my 77 chevy short box is a sleeper. went from a 2 barrel to a 4....and thats about it.but the combination of the full time four, and a 400 small block beats most 350 powered chevys here and even a few 454 big blocks. same with the 351 fords.i want to put a standard in it so i can stop burning up TH350s (came stock wit ha th400) and open the heads a bit, but a decent cam in it and rais the compression a tad to 9.5 to one.
